Ingredients
- 2 rolls puff pastry
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- Whipped cream
- (optional: glaze)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Roll out the puff pastry rolls and brush both with the melted butter except for the edges.
- Combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle the mixture on the puff pastry.
- Brush the edges of the dough with water.
- Place the two sheets of puff pastry together and pinch together the edges.
- Slice the dough into strips using a sharp knife.
- Take the end of each strip of dough and fold it over itself twice to create an ‘Easter bunny’ with two ears and a round section at the bottom. Make sure that the cinnamon on the side of the strips is visible.
- Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 17-18 minutes in the preheated oven.
- Allow to cool and top with glaze and a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
