DOMO Pasta Halloween

Pasta with mozzarella and minced meat eyeballs

Ingredients

  • 400 g spaghetti
  •  400 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 500 g canned tomato cubes 
  • 1 tbsp spaghetti seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Provençal herbs
  • 10 small mozzarella balls
  • 4 black olives
  • Fresh oregano
  •  Olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Cook the pasta in lightly salted water until al dente.
  3. Season the minced meat with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll the minced meat into balls and put the meatballs into the oven for 15 minutes.
  5. Press the garlic and chop the onion. Then sauté them in a saucepan with olive oil.
  6. Deglaze the onion and garlic with the diced tomatoes. Season the sauce to taste with salt and pepper, spaghetti seasoning, and/or Provençal herbs.
  7. Let the sauce cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
  8. Cut the mozzarella balls into slices and top each meatball with a slice.
  9. Slice the olives and place a piece of olive on each mozzarella slice.
  10. Place in the oven for another minute until the cheese has just melted.
  11. Drain the pasta and mix it into the tomato sauce.
  12.  Scoop up the pasta and divide among the plates.
  13. Scatter the meatballs between the pasta and garnish with some fresh oregano.
