New energy label since 2021

Why is there a new energy label?

Energy-saving technology has advanced enormously since the introduction of the energy label. Almost all appliances are currently at the top of the scale, which is why additional labels such as A+, A++, and A+++ were created. This caused confusion, whereas the energy label was intended to help with the purchase decision.

What is the new energy label?

From 2021 onwards, all major appliances will have a clearer energy label, with a scale from A to G. The label will now also include a QR code that you can scan with your smartphone. The code refers to an EU database where you can view additional, official information.

What will change for your DOMO appliance?

Nothing. The new label is based solely on a different method of calculating energy consumption and determining the label class. For example, a DOMO appliance previously rated A++ will now be displayed as class E or D. This does not mean that the appliance is suddenly less energy-efficient. DOMO applies only the new European regulations and continues to strive for energy-efficient, innovative products with good quality at a reasonable price.
