Ingredients
- 4 bread rolls
- 400 g mixed mince
- 1 chopped onion
- breadcrumbs with herbs (paprika - parsley)
- 1 egg
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 sweet sour gherkin
- 4 tbsp BBQ sauce (smoked)
- 1 tomato
Preparation
-
Mix the mince with 1 lightly beaten egg, 1 chopped onion and the breadcrumbs with herbs to create a sticky blend.
-
Preheat the fryer to 180°C.
-
Divide the mince into four and roll into a bun shape. Press them flat to form a hamburger.
-
Cook the meat in the fryer for 15 minutes at 180°C.
-
In the meantime, halve the bread rolls, slice the tomatoes and chop the gherkin lengthways.
-
Construct the hamburger by layering the bottom half of the bread roll with the hamburger, the cheese, a slice of tomato, a slice of gherkin and a spoonful of BBQ sauce. Top with the other half of the bread roll.
-
Tip: The thickness of the burgers will determine the cooking time.
Enjoy!
